SPATIAL COVERAGE OF TYPE regions IN THE ADL GAZETTEER
There are 120,132 items of type regions in the ADL Gazetteer as of January 25, 2001.
The spatial coverage of the items is graphically shown by the tiled map below. Each tile represents a 10° × 10° area of the Earth's surface. The color of a tile reflects the number of items that overlap that tile; the lighter the color, the more items that overlap. The legend to the right of the map shows the correspondence between color and number of items.
