Display Characteristics Only fields containing data are enabled. Fields containing no data are 'grayed' out (actually a lighter pink in this case). You can expand fields and display the data by clicking on the arrow image. The 'Display/Hide All' will show all fields, or hide fields, including those that are 'grayed' out. If a Concept has been assigned a Concept Type and Facet, it will display just below the Concept primary name itself. If the Concept has been assigned a non-primary (or secondary) name, it will be shown in brackets next to the primary name. Example of Concept Display
[show] Possible Errors The most likely error to occur when displaying legitimate concepts is an XML display error. The look of the error will vary from browser to browser, but may give line and character number of error. This usually occurs when invalid XHTML syntax was stored in the database in one of the Concepts fields. This could be due to two issues: invalid syntax input in the Concept Editor or invalid processing of input from the Concept Editor. The Concept Editor can convert most HTML into XHTML without any issues but if the original HTML was not properly formed, it is possible for it to be incorrectly converted to XHTML. In this case, it will not display in the Concept Viewer. This can be corrected by re-editing the concept and fixing the incorrect HTML syntax. Example of Error Result with Internet Explorer
