As noted in the annual report for 1995-1996, the organizational structure by which the Alexandria Project is composed of several interacting research and development teams is serving the Project well. The major teams that currently exist have been used in this report to organize our discussion of the past year's research and development activities. We periodically review this structure, and generally make relatively minor changes, such the addition or deletion of subteams.
