Research and Development Team Structure

As noted in the annual report for 1995-1996, the organizational structure by which the Alexandria Project is composed of several interacting research and development teams is serving the Project well. The major teams that currently exist have been used in this report to organize our discussion of the past year's research and development activities. We periodically review this structure, and generally make relatively minor changes, such the addition or deletion of subteams. As noted elsewhere in this report, the largest changes to the team structure during the past year have been:

  1. the addition of an Operational Library Team;
  2. the addition of an Interface Design Team, and the separation of this design task from the User Interface and Evaluation Team.
