The ADL network comprises the hosts in the alexandria.ucsb.edu Internet domain. Physically, this network comprises several 10baseT (twisted-pair) Ethernet segments, bridged by a 100 megabit LanPlex 2500 Intelligent Switch/Routing/Bridging System, and gatewayed onto UCSB's 100 Mbit FDDI backbone. ADL currently shares UCSB's single research Internet connection, a 1.54 Mbit DS-1 line direct to MCI's Bloomington NAP in Rialto, CA.
