  1. Beattu, Morris L., (MS, April 1997 expected), ``Dimensionality reduction using multi-dimensional scaling for image search''.
  2. Ma, Wei-Ying (PhD, April 1997 expected), ``A visual thesaurus for content based search and retrieval of images''.
  3. Srinivasan, Ashok, (PhD, 1996), ``Computational Issues in the Solution of Liquid Crystalline Polymer Flow Problems''.

At SUNY Buffalo, the following theses were completed as part of ADL:

  1. Leitner, Michael, (MA 1996), ``The Impact of Data Quality Displays on Spatial Decision Support'' (dissertation defended 14 October, 1996; hired May 1996 as Assistant Professor at Louisiana State University)
  2. Plewe, Brandon, (MA, March 1997 expected), ``Cartographic and GIS Representations of Gradation.''
  3. Skupin, Andre (MA, April 1997, expected), ``Geographic Concepts and the Visualization of Electronic Information Spaces''.
