• ADL Gazetteer Development (previous work)
  Access to ADL's Gazetteer Server with over 4 million entries, plus the ADL Gazetteer Content Standard, the Feature Type Thesaurus, Gazetteer Protocol, and related information.
  

• NKOS
  Networked Knowledge Organization Systems/Services: A group who are discussing the data and functional model for enabling Knowledge Organization Systems such as thesauri, classification systems, and gazetteers as distributed, interactive services on the Internet.
